A new pest of potato -- Schrankia costaestrigalis(Stephens, 1834) Observation of the law of field occurrence and practice of agricultural prevention and control

Abstract: In March 2015, Schrankia Costaestrigalis (Stephens, 1834) was first discovered to damage potato tubers in Yulin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and it was found to damage sweet potato tubers in early June 2019. The pest is a new record species in mainland China, and the survey found that it is distributed in Yulin City, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. During the period from potato tuber formation to harvest period in Yulin City (generally from mid-December to late March to late March of the following year), Schrankia costaestrigalis usually occurs for 3 generations. Adult and larvae are mainly active in the soil gaps. Feeding on the potato stolons and tubers is harmful. Plastic film coverage, high soil moisture, clay, soil between the big gap, and late-seeding and late-harvesting field blocks are seriously affected.From 2017 to 2018, carry out agricultural control experiments against potato Schrankia costaestrigalis, such as reducing field humidity and selecting suitable soil for planting. The results showed that water-saving irrigation reduced the pest rate by 86.47% to 97.33% compared to saturated irrigation; the straw tuber and potato plant tuber pest rates decreased by 89.53% and 98.05% ;respectively compared with plastic film mulch treatment; the pest rate of sandy loam fields decreased by 88.32%; compared to clay fields . Agricultural control strategies that reduce field humidity, intensive cultivation and destruction of their suitable environment have achieved good results.

马铃薯新害虫——窄缘施夜蛾Schrankia costaestrigalis(Stephens, 1834)田间发生规律观察和农业防治实践

摘要:2015年3月,在广西壮族自治区玉林市首次发现窄缘施夜蛾Schrankia Costaestrigalis(Stephens, 1834)为害马铃薯块茎,2019年6月上旬发现其为害甘薯块根。该害虫在中国内地是新纪录种,调查发现其在广西壮族自治区玉林市、钦州市和广东省惠州市均有分布。在玉林市马铃薯块茎形成期至收获期内(一般为12月中、下旬至次年3月下旬),窄缘施夜蛾通常发生3代,成、幼虫均主要在土壤空隙中活动,以幼虫取食马铃薯匍匐茎和块茎为害。地膜覆盖、土壤湿度大、黏土、泥土之间空隙大、晚播晚收田块受害较重。2017-2018年,开展降低田间湿度、选择土质适宜的田块种植等针对马铃薯窄缘施夜蛾的农业防治试验。结果表明,节水灌溉较饱和灌溉虫害率降低86.47%~97.33%;稻草覆盖和露地种植马铃薯块茎虫害率分别较地膜覆盖处理降低89.53%、98.05%;砂壤土田虫害率较黏土田降低88.32%。降低田间湿度、精耕细作及破坏其适生环境为主的农业防治策略取得了较好的应用效果。
